Travel Cape Town
Ocean View
It was established in 1968 by the apartheid government under the Group Areas Act as a township for colored people who had been forcibly removed from the so-called "white areas" of Simon's Town, Noordhoek, Red Hill and Glencairn for the purpose of housing. Originally called Slangkop, it was the first township in Cape Town to be established.
Table Mountian National Park
At the southernmost end of the Cape Peninsula, you will find Cape Point, the finest natural harbor in the world The Table Mountain National Park is predominantly surrounded by water except for a narrow strip of land that connects it to the mainland. The majestic Table Mountain overlooks Cape Town while the Cape of Good Hope is at the southernmost end of the peninsula.
Muizenberg
Muizenberg may have been named after Wynand Willem Muijs, who commanded a small outpost in the region in 1743. The Battle of Muizenberg was a small but significant military engagement that took place on 7 August 1795 and ended three months later with the (first) British occupation of the Cape, thus beginning the period (1803 to 1806) during which the British controlled most of Southern Africa.
